The Best Place for a Jewish Mind

At SPHDS, our goals are to provide our students with a rigorous Jewish and General Studies education, to instill in our students a love of Israel and a strong Jewish identity, and to provide our students with a sound moral compass informed by the teachings of the Torah.

At SPHDS, we recognize the uniqueness of each individual student, and we seek to nurture that individuality and create the best learning experience possible for him or her. We boast a vibrant, diverse population: here you will find Reform, Conservative, Orthodox and unaffiliated families; Israelis, Americans and many other nationalities coming together in an energetic, dynamic community to learn, sing, pray, celebrate holidays and special occasions, and grow together.

We are affiliated with Torah Umesorah, the National Society for Jewish Day Schools.

Our school features:
  • An outstanding Hebrew program, beginning in preschool
  • A full spectrum of Judaic studies
  • Academic excellence in General Studies
  • Parents and teachers working together for our children's education
  • A diverse, open community
The contemporary Jewish world has little to unite it. SPHDS has always been the school that opens its doors to, and seeks to serve, every Jewish student, regardless of affiliation. For all those serious about Jewish commitment, this has always been the address in Silicon Valley. Though we might speak different native languages and might see Jewish commitment in different ways, SPHDS is able to stress that we are truly Am Echad, one nation.
SPHDS has sent children to every conceivable high school from the most exclusive private schools to highly competitive public schools to Yeshivot. The feedback has always been the same: "I was more than prepared academically, I was more centered Jewishly--in short, I was ready." Recent graduates went on to study at diverse universities such as Stanford, Cornell, Sarah Lawrence, SiAH Yedidya Yeshiva, New York University, U.C. Berkeley, Boston University, and USC, and have gone on to careers in medicine, business and academics. Some of our former students are now sending their children to SPHDS.
